Eroica Japan 2019

Event area along the river flowing at the center of Shima-Onsen Town. When we arrived this spot around noon, many stalls of vintage bikes, parts, accessories, etc. welcomed us, but it showed quiet and mysterious appearance in the night.

Cena Eroica Dinner Party held at old elementary school building. Many participants from Japan and other countries gathered and enjoyed drinking, eating, and talking. 

Back to our guesthouse "Sekizenkan" which really looks like bathhouse appeared in Gibri movie "Spririted Away".

Taking picture is prohibited inside the bathhouse. This is inside of one of the bath built with Taisho Modern Architecture around year of 1900. It is fun to enter very small and dark steam bath room for which Shima -  Onsen was famous in Japan 200-300 years ago. 

Following day, event ride started very early in the morning. I was not afford to taking picture and due to time limit, I had to change our route to shorter one from this spot - Panorama Line along wide cabbage field. 

Shot just in front of the goal gate of my friends - dad and son riding on Legnano which reminded me very famous picture of Bartali and Coppi at Tour de France. 

Stayed at Shima-Onsen another night. Following day on the way home, we stopped by at Akaiwa Village, Kuni, Nakanojyo-City. Enjoyed walking and watching landscape of Japan about 150 years ago when sericulture was prosperous around this area.
